What before and after actually means
The system is two habits, not two products. How we think about splitting a demanding day in half.

One cycle, two halves
Most people plan for the effort and improvise the recovery. The result is predictable: you arrive prepared and leave wrecked.
Splitting the cycle into a Before and an After gives you two decision points instead of one. Before is preparation. After is getting back to baseline without losing the following day.
Why it is not only about nightlife
The same structure applies to a red eye flight, a double shift or a long training block. The context changes but the shape of the day does not.
That is why the system is described by phase rather than by scene, and why the labels are architecture rather than a promised result.
